My Ideal future

It has been a long time since I posted in my blog but here I am now, blogging about my ideal future...

I am now in 4th year high school, graduating this school year 2011-2012. I guess this would be (one of) my last blog(s) as a 4th year high school student so I guess I will share to you my final remarks.....

I just want to say that I am really happy for having a blog like this! I would like to thank Sir Noel Delos Reyes, my former adviser and social studies teacher who introduced me to Blogspot/Blogger and to blogging. This blog started out last year, when I was in 3rd year, as a kind of project needed in our Social Studies subject and now, it is no longer just a kind of project to me but as an outlet of my thoughts and emotions. This blog has helped me express myself and I am really satisfied with my posts....Thank you Sir Noel for giving me such an opportunity!

I would also like to thank Sir Jhun Villalon, my recent Social Studies teacher and Computer teacher who continued what Sir Noel has started, using Blogger as a project and also using it as a medium of expression. Thank for all the topics that you tackled with us and we are able to react on them. Thank you for opening our eyes about the realities of poverty and how it has affected people, especially children, I will remember it in my heart and mind as I go on...

My Ideal Future

Now let's talk about an ideal future, as a 4th year HS student, one should learn to think of an ideal future for himself/herself. One should envision himself/herself into a desirable future that he/she wants for himself/herself. He/She should visualize his/her future situation after 10 yrs. and at the same time, look in to the present situation he/she is in now, because as they say, college life is the beginning of the "real" life where a lot of hard work is involved, you are near to being a hardworking, job-hunting adult and you'll be needing an "ideal future" to help you keep moving.

A vision of your present life in the future will help you know what attainment do you want to achieve in life, what goals do you need to set to attain it and what risks and opportunities you have to take to help you pursue you ideal future. Having a vision of your life will help give direct your life a bright tomorrow, it will help you to decide and plan your destiny.

Almost every successful invention we see today started from a vision, the successful people behind these inventions has foresaw what his invention would be like and what could it do for the benefit of the people, here are some examples of these people:

Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and CEO of Facebook, the leading social networking site that everyone uses today. He imagined a "network" where in people can connect to each other and be able to share things with each other and with that, Facebook was born!

Walt Disney, an animator and founder of the Walt Disney Company, the leading maker of cartoons and animated movies. He has imagined a theme park where he could put in his animated characters and there you have it, we got Disneyland! One of the famous and most visited recreational parks in the world having a lot of branches around the globe.

Just imagine if these people didn't have a vision, imagine if these people didn't "imagine", where would they be now? Would they be in their present success right now? Would we able to experience the product of their success? That was how their life became successful, that was how those things came to be, it all started with a vision.

Now let's talk about my ideal future, first of all, just like anybody else, is to have a prosperous and successful life in the future. Who doesn't want this kind of future? All of us want to be prosperous and successful in their life at least in some point of their life.

As a child, I dream to be a pastor someday, just like my Dad, and I still want to pursue it until now, maybe after I choose and finish a career. As a 4th year student, knowing that God has given me the gift in writing and being quite good in English, I have decided to be a future journalist or broadcaster someday. I want to use my God-given talents to be able to write of inform people about various things and happenings. I want to share my knowledge with other people and be able encourage and inspire them. I could see myself writing or speaking to many people, sharing plenty of thoughts and information.

Next, I want to help my family, I want to help sustain my family and lessen their burden, I want to show my love for them by being able to give back everything that they have done to me. I could see myself with my first salary, buying a "pasalubong" for my brother and my parents and as well as my relatives.

As a working person, I want to help my brother finish schooling, I want to see him graduate and be able to see him have a career of his own. I want him to have a bright future, just like the one I desire for myself. I want to see him excel in whatever career he wants to take.

And lastly, I want to establish a family of my own, I want be able to find a loving and supporting wife and have good, God-fearing, happy and healthy children. I want to have a happy and peaceful home that is full of love. I want a family that is close with each other and bonds well with each other through happy times, and helps each other and sticks with each other through rough and tough times. Most of all, I want to have a God-fearing family that seeks and serves God above all else, a family that works to love and glorify God.

This is my ideal future and I know that I can achieve it with the help of God, and I offer up my future to Him. God has said in his word, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11. I know my God's plan is way better than my plan, I know all my plans may not all come true but I can hold on to this promise of God, to prosper me and not harm me, to give me hope and a future.

I will work hard to attain this ideal future; I will take steps that will help me in the pursuit in of my vision. I will do my best and I will remove all the things that hinder me from achieving my goal.

I know that I can achieve my goals if I trust in the Lord with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding, acknowledging Him always knowing that He will direct my path (Proverbs 3:5-6). I will seek and serve God first above anything else (Matt. 6:33) and I know everything will work together for good (Rom. 8:28). I entrust everything to God, the one who holds the future in His hands.

God bless! ^_^
